Maddie McLennon is a comedian, cartoonist, writer and designer in Kingston, NY.
A Milwaukee native, Maddie spent her early 20s traversing odd jobs from Harlan, Kentucky to Washington, DC, and from Burlington, VT to Accra, Ghana. Her up-beat, quirky style of comedy explores her identity as a Middle American turned “Coastal Elite.”
She began performing stand-up in Philadelphia, PA and quickly became a regular host and performer at Good Good Comedy Theater, Punch Line Philly and Sofar Sounds.
She has opened for comedians Dan St. Germain, Ayo Edebiri, Randy Liedtke, Kate Willett and Chanel Ali. She also appeared on the live Philly performance of Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang.
As a member of Laughs on Philly, she co-produced and hosted Whiz City Comedy Festival in addition to the Unpasteurized weekly showcase (2017-2020) and monthly pop-up shows.
In 2018 she created, produced and hosted State Fair, a monthly show at Good Good Comedy Theater about regional American culture.
She designed and illustrated the brand identity for a number of comedy shows and festivals, including Philly Sketchfest, Five Dollar Comedy Week, and Whiz City Comedy Festival.
